Nate's Music Archive

About

Music has always been an obsession for me, whether I am working, commuting, or really anything, if I can put an earbud in I will. I have always liked CDs and over time I have collected a handful, but around 2020 I realized just how cool vinyl records are! I love having a high quality version of the album art as well as the super high quality audio. This website will serve as an archive for all of the music that I physically own. All items are sorted alphabetically, just click a letter of the alphabet to jump to that section of items.

Terminal Redux

Image description

Terminal Redux is the third album by the band Vektor, released on May 6, 2016. This album will pick you up, throw you on the ground, and do it again three more times. This album changed how I view music entirely. The album tells the story of Isolation Project Subject 5, a prisoner sent to space in an escape pod with no controls to explore the universe. Isolation eventually gets control over the pod and gains immortality by collecting exploded star dust. He uses this new power to take control over the galatic dictatorship, The Cygnus Regime. But his hunger for power grows and his sanity falls, eventually leading to him becoming a dictator himself. The songwriting absolutley impeccable. The guitarist David Disanto has a way of making his guitar sound like its being played by a spaceship, with inhuman speed and precision. Melodies will fly in and out of your ear before you can grasp them. The beginning of the album deals with themes of depression and isolation, by the end of the album these emotions have turned to self-reflection and acceptance. This album will blow you away on the first listen, and the one hundredth.
